Kul- hawy Memorial Scholarship Fund, in the amount of $2,500, was awarded to Nicolet Chovancak, a graduate student, University of South Carolina. The scholarship fund was established in 2018 to honor Professor Fred Tyler Kleinsasse, Hunter VanSchoubroek, Nicolet Chovancak (below) H. Kulhawy’s contri- bution to the deep foundations industry. Kulhawy was professor emeritus of civil and geo- technical engineering at Cornell University.
