EDUCATIONAL TRUST Annual PA Golf Outing – a Success The 10 annual Pennsylvania Golf Outing took place on July 18 at Chartiers Country Club in Pittsburgh. The event benefits the DFI Educational Trust Penn State and University of Pittsburgh Scholarship Funds. The golf outing had 76 attendees and raised more than $10,000 for student scholarships. ECA has sponsored the PA Golf outing every year and brought two foursomes this year DEEP FOUNDATIONS • SEPT/OCT 2016 • 55 Scholarship Winners In July, the Trust awarded the 2016 At-Large Scholarships. The awards this year included seven scholarships (one more than in 2015) from the Trust’s General Scholarship Fund. These scholar- ships are available to civil engi- neering students attending any accredited college or university in the U.S. Also awarded at this time were the Thomas Wysockey Civil Engineering Scholarship and the John O’Malley Scholarship.
