This annual lecture is supported by the Alvarado delivered the 2019 Hal Hunt th generous donations of DFI members. Net proceeds benefit the DFI Educational Trust. 5K Race at DFI44 Congratulations to all those who partici- pated in the second DFI Educational Trust’s 5K Fun Run and Walk at the DFI Annual Conference in Chicago. More than 60 runners turned out at 7 a.m. on October 16. The men’s winner was Herald Wattenberg, PVE Equipment USA, with a time of 20:07. The women’s winner was Jami Klomp, Hardman Construction, with a time of 24:20. The event raised $8,000 for the DFI Educational Trust scholarship program. California Golf Outing The DFI Educational Trust Annual California Golf Outing Fundraiser was held on October 21 at the Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, California. More than 65 golfers hit the links to raise approximately $8,000 to fund scholarships for students pursuing their academic studies in deep foun- dations, architecture, engineering and construction.
