Gold Heavy Construction Association of Toronto Isherwood Geotechnical Engineers Roll Form Group Fine Scholarship Fundraising Dinner The 2 Annual Manuel Fine Civil Engineer- ing Scholarship Fundraising Dinner took place on September 26 at Le Parc outside Toronto. The event was attended by more than 50 guests and raised over $15,000 (USD). Proceeds benefit the Manuel Fine Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to civil engineering students attending universities in the Province of Ontario. The event was co-chaired by Trust Boad Member, Lars Richter, M.Eng., AECON nd Foundations, and DFI Trustee, Matthew Janes, P.Eng., MBA, Isherwood Associates. The guest speaker for the dinner was John R. Wolosick, P.E., D.GE, F.ASCE, director of engineering, for Hayward Baker and the 2018-2019 DFI Traveling Lecturer. Other highlights of the evening were the recognition of the 2017 scholarship recipients, Lauren Augustin, University of Waterloo, Ontario, and Yaman Zahra, Western University, London, Ontario, and a tribute to Manuel Fine, P. Eng., by Patrick Bermingham of Bermingham Foundations.
