PEOPLE & COMPANIES Dieter Stetter, current chai r of the BAUER Maschinen Management Board, is transitioning the leadership after 10 years. Since the late 1980s, he has been instrumental in the sales of Bauer machinery in Asia, and he has been linked to Bauer’s success in the Far East. On January 1, 2019, Stetter will take over the leadership of the BAUER Technologies Far East Group. On December 1, Dr. Ruediger Kaub became the new chair of the management board at Bauer Masch- inen. He has many years of international experience in product management, sales and management. After completing his Ph.D., he joined the O&K Group in the mid-1990s, where he initially worked in product management in the mining equipment sector. He then focused on sales and management in Germany, South Africa, Canada, Singapore and Indonesia. In 2016, Kaub became managing director of Kleeman, a company that produces mobile crushing and screening equipment. On November 1, Michael Stomberg took over as chair of the management board at Bauer AG from Prof. Thomas Bauer, now chair of the supervisory board. Stomberg began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton in Munich, where he was responsible for strategic and operational projects in various sectors worldwide. Most recently, Stomberg was COO at EagleBurgmann in corporate management, responsible for production, product development and project business. CZM Foundation Equip- ment has appointed Jassen Reed as landfill and energy sales specialist. Reed oversees all aspects of sales/consulting dedicated to the landfill, conductor pile and rathole industries. Reed started in the foundation industry as a drill rig operator and worked his way up to a project superintendent before moving into his current sales role. The McMillen Jacobs Board of Directors has elected Sarah Wilson to be board chair. Wilson is a vice president at McMillen Jacobs, where she has worked in tunnel design and construction management for more than 19 years, and she has spent the past 5 years in board service for the firm. Wilson’s leadership experience and technical expertise stem from final design roles on transit, dam and water conveyance facilities, and construc- tion management experience on numerous underground contracts in both soft ground and rock. Wilson received a B.S. in civil engineering from Drexel University in Phil- adelphia, Pa., and earned an M.S. in geo- technical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. She has authored numerous professional papers and articles on geotechnical and construction manage- ment topics and is a past president of the American Rock Mechanics Association. Wilson is a CMAA certified construction manager and a registered P.E. in California. David Klug, president of David R. Klug and Associ- ates and Klug Construc- tion Systems, received the Outstanding Individual Award by the Underground Construction Association (UCA). The award recognizes individuals, including con- tractors, engineers, owners and suppliers, who have made significant contributions to the field of tunneling and underground construction and to the UCA. Klug has more than 40 years of industry involvement in many of the major tunnel programs constructed in the U.S. and Canada. Klug received a B.S. from West Liberty State College. He is a past chair of the UCA (2009- 2011), a member of the UCA Fox Conference Committee, The Moles and the Associated General Contractors of America affiliate of Western Pennsylvania. Champion Equipment sold the first SR-45 100 unit. The SR-45, with a one of a kind commemorative logo, was purchased by Calex Engineering Co., which has added three Soilmec rigs to its fleet over the last year. Calex focuses on mass excavation and foundation drilling for state, municipal and private projects throughout Southern California. in North America and has now sold the th DYWIDAG-Systems International (DSI) has announced its acquisition of Datum Group, a UK-based monitoring company. Datum was founded in 1999 by its current owner and CEO, Rory O’Rourke, to provide monitoring services to the mining, rail and construction sectors. Sanjay Razdan, president of Global Services DSI, said: “We welcome the Datum team into DSI. Datum’s products and services, including Infrastructural Health Monitor- ing, are added to our portfolio of global services to enhance safety, savings and sustainability for our customers.” ALLU Group announced Darrin Harn as its new territory sales manager for the Midwestern U.S. Harn is based in Wisconsin and is responsible for develop- ing and working with ALLU’s network of dealers in the Midwest, as well as field sales activities. Harn was a territory manager for ALLU from 2006 to 2011, and brings decades of construction and agricultural sales experience to his new position. Prior to rejoining ALLU, he worked with farming equipment manufacturer McFarlane Manufacturing, first as a product support manager and then as territory sales manager. Harn also spent 13 years in sales and service support for Kuhn North America. He has a B.S. in agricultural operation management (mechanized agriculture) from the University of Florida.
