Similar social events are being planned at other electric industry and DFI events later this year and in 2019 to foster committee outreach efforts. • Completed a state-of-the-practice white paper on transmission line foundation engineering, design and construction. Detailed review and editing were discussed during the June SuperPile ’18 meeting and are in progress. The goal is to submit the final document to DFI by the March 2019 ASCE GeoCongress Conference. • Sponsored a panel discussion at the DFI Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif., to discuss foundation design shortcomings in the electric power industry. • Presented the third in a series of papers on the industry state- of-the-practice white paper at the SEI Electric Transmission and Substation Conference in Atlanta, Ga., on November 4-8, 2018. • Holding committee meetings at the DFI Annual Conference, the March 2019 GeoCongress in Philadelphia and SuperPile ’19 in Seattle in May 2019. The committee has about two dozen active members, with a number of other utility engineers, contractors and consultants providing input. Meetings are accessible via teleconference.
