DFI ACTIVITIES DFI’s 42 Annual Conference: Good Times in New Orleans nd 42 Annual Conference on Deep Foundations was vibrant, energetic, fascinating – and a unique melting pot of deep foundations professional from across disciplines and around the world. The conference, which ran from Just like the host city of New Orleans, DFI’s n d October 24-27, featured a number of “new” conference activities, including a Lunch & Learn Workshop attended by more than 150 people; an invited Panel on Risk: A Ra t iona l Di s cus s ion, whi ch wa s simultaneously broadcast as a webinar; meetings of two new Working Groups; a 5K Fun Run and Walk to benefit the DFI Educational Trust; football trivia in the exhibit hall and a fun Mobile App game. The Organizing Committee of more than 40 volunteers and DFI staff welcomed over 950 attendees for an exceptional pro g r am o f l e c tur e s , t e chni c a l presentations and social activities. Dale Biggers, P.E., of Boh Bros. Construction Co., chaired the conference. Gwendolyn Sanders, P.E., of Eustis Engineering, served as program advisor. Keynotes and Lectures David B.
