Mayers received his B.S. in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and his M.S. from the University of Maryland. Jordan is the manager of the Boston office and has more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical related field investigation, design and construction of a variety of unde rground engi - neering projects. Her experience covers a broad range of services areas including planning, implementation and reporting of geotech- nical investigations; geotechnical design and analyses; and preparation of contract documents. McGlenn has 17 years of experience in structural engineering for aboveground and unde rground infrastructure and is based in the Seattle office, where he serves as the lead structural engineer on various underground projects in the Pacific Northwest as well as abroad. Miles is based in the Portland office and has over 27 years of experience in the civil engineering industry. Her expertise includes project management, project controls, contract administration, construction supervision, cost estimating, scheduling, construction claims and schedule analysis. Jacobs also announced that Rick Smith, P.E., was promoted to senior associate. Based in the Seattle office, Smith has 27 years of geotechnical engineering experience for heavy civil design and construction, including underground structures for water, wastewater and transit, highway and railway bridges, support of deep excavations, landslide stabilization, and earth and rock fill dams. Kleinfelder announced the appointment of Daniel L. Harpstead, P.E., as the firm’s new chief technical officer. Harpstead, who reports directly to Kleinfelder’s president and CEO Bill Siegel, is located in the firm’s Exton, Pa., office. Harpstead brings over 37 years of engineering experience in a diverse set of technical and leadership roles relating to geotechnical and envi ronmental engineering, construction quality control and risk management. He received an M.S. in civil engineering from Purdue University and a B.S. in civil engineering from Michigan State University.
