Klug provides international and national manufacturer representative services to the underground heavy civil and mine construc- tion industries. He has more than 40 years of industry involvement in many of the major tunnel programs constructed in the U.S. and Canada. In conjunction with his European clients, he conducts industry outreach seminars to Europe for people from the U.S. and Canadian tunneling industry to study European methods of tunnel construction and contract delivery practices. DFI-ASCE Joint Meeting in Pittsburgh In March, DFI partnered with ASCE Pittsburgh’s GeoInstitute Section and Diversity and Inclusion Committee to present the fourth annual DFI-ASCE Pittsburgh joint dinner meeting. This year, DFI invited Dr. Wendy Murphy of Babson College to lead an active workshop titled, Building Your Mentoring Network: A Relational Approach to Career Success. This event focused on the importance of mentoring at every stage during one’s career. The presentation highlighted how to leverage a mentoring network to propel career success and presented an active exercise that guided the attendees through steps to map and analyze a personal network. Dr. Murphy is an associate professor of management at Babson College where she teaches organizational behavior and managing
