Another special technical session, the History and Future of Industry-Academic Partnership, was supported by the WiDF Committee. Moderated by Trish Gallagher of Drexel University and Helen Robinson of GEI Consultants and chair of the WiDF Committee, the session included a combination of brief presen- tations and networking activities to foster relationships between industry and academic partners that further practical research efforts. Final night Progressive Reception The equipment expo displayed the latest drilled shaft, anchored earth retention, micropile and pile driving installation equipment and services in the industry. More than 175 exhibitors showed their wares in the indoor and outdoor exhibit areas, and attendees could walk through and experience demonstrations and displays. The last evening of the event was themed an “IFCEE Final Night Progressive Reception.” This event launched from the Pavilion area, then made its way to the outdoor exhibit areas, and was full of fun, fellowship and delectable cuisine.
