This year’s lecturer is Erik Loehr, Ph.D., P.E., associate professor, University of Missouri, DFI trustee, and trustee liaison to the DFI Deep Foundations for Landslides and Slope Stabilization Committee and the Testing and Evaluation Committee. Loehr’s technical focus is on stability and performance of earth slopes, foundations and earth retention systems, and reliability- based design. He has performed research for agencies such as the National Science Foundation, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration as well as for a number of private contractors and companies. The lecture was established in honor of Dr. Jorj O. Osterberg, to recognize innovat ions in deep foundat ions construction related to engineering design, testing or education. Loehr was selected for his innovative spirit and contributions to the deep foundation industry. The lecture is sponsored by Loadtest.
