DFI Middle East Conference The DFI Middle East Conference is being held February 16-18, most likely as a virtual event. The fifth annual conference provides an opportunity for the region’s geotechnical engineering practitioners, academics and suppliers to exchange information and present the latest developments in the field of foundation design and construction. This joint seminar focuses on a variety of topics including rehabilitation of existing bulkheads, berth deepening, noise mitigation for marine pile diving, resilient waterfront design, case studies and histories of various waterfront projects in the area and abroad. www.dfi.org/COPRI-2021 DFI-PFSF Piling & Ground Improvement Conference in Australia Registration has reopened for the second DFI-PFSF Piling & Ground Improvement Conference being held March 10-12, 2021, at International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney. This conference is intended to promote all aspects of deep foundations, earth retention and ground improvement works. Sessions will cover design, testing, construction, ground improvement, risk and project delivery practices, challenging project case studies, and developments and innovations. www.dfi.org/PFSF2021 Shotcrete Short Course DFI’s Tunneling and Underground Committee is hosting a Shotcrete Short Course in April-May 2021, in Colorado. This is a 2.5-day course that covers engineering, mix designs, materials, equipment, ACI Codes and specifications, construction, inspection, QA/QC, and field demonstrations used for civil and geo- technical underground construction, shaft/tunnel, and mining projects. www.dfi.org/Shotcrete2021 IFCEE The International Association of Founda- tion Drilling (ADSC), Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), Geo-Institute of the ASCE (G-I), and Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA) are jointly hosting the International Foundations Congress and Equipment Exposition (IFCEE 2021) at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Texas, May 10-14, 2021. The DFI Osterberg Memorial Lecture is being presented at the event by Erik Loehr, Ph.D., P.E., associate professor, University of Missouri-Columbia, DFI trustee, and trustee liaison to the DFI Deep Foundations for Landslides and Slope Stabilization Committee, and its Testing and Evaluation Committee. www.IFCEEXPO.com SuperPile 2021 Abs t ract s are being accepted for presentations at SuperPile 2021, a piling design and construction conference being hosted by DFI in partnership with ADSC.
