Abstracts Due September 1 Crux Subsurface, winner of the first World Cup of Micropiles (2014), is serving as the host sponsor for this 2017 Canadian- based event, and the organizing committee is led by Nick Salisbury , Crux’s president. The organizing committee members include Jan Hall of ADSC, Lauren Nance of DFI, Chantal Torabi of Crux Subsurface and Zahra Mamdani, Vancouver event coordinator. The workshop will follow the ISM (ISM), ADSC and DFI will hold their 13 International Workshop on Micropiles in Vancouver, BC, Canada, March 29 to April 1, 2017. The workshop theme is Micropiles: Resisting and Remediating the Effects of Mother Nature. The International Society for Micropiles th traditional technical program format including 2.5 days of lecture and discussion sessions on all aspects of micropile technology supplemented with social events that highlight the culture of the host country. The second World Cup of Micro- piles will also be presented at the work- shop, which is an international competition delivered, and the 7 Lizzi Scholarship will be awarded. These awards are presented in memory of ISM’s visionary leader and world. The 9 Lizzi Lecture will be th to select the best micropile project in the th developer of the root pile technology, Dr. Fernando Lizzi (1914-2003).
