EDUCATIONAL TRUST Board Meeting The fall DFI Educational Trust Board of Trustees meeting was held on November 8, 2019, at the offices of Underpinning and Foundation Skanska in Queens, New York. The board discussed fundraising plans for 2020 and welcomed new trustee Jonathan Huff of Goettle to his first meeting. Annual Gala Dinner The 14 Annual DFI Educational Trust Gala Fundraising Dinner took place on November 7, 2019, at Terrace On The Park in Corona, New York. The gala was attended by more than 125 guests and raised over $25,000. Proceeds from the event benefit the Stanley Merjan City College of New York (CCNY) Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund, George J. Tamaro Manhat tan Col lege Civi l Engineering Scholarship Fund, and DFI Educational Trust General Fund. At the event, the Merjan family made an additional generous contribution to the Stanley Merjan Scholarship Fund. th Recipients of the 2019 Merjan and Tamaro scholarships were at the event to receive the scholarship awards. CCNY recipients of Merjan scholarships were Jeffrey Liu, Imam H. Mihan, Alison Richard and Michael Vera. Manhattan College recipients of Tamaro scholarships were Cara Cao, Michael LaValle, Taylor Malangone and Rachel White.
