Grant Finn, P.E., S.E., CEng, MICE, has more than 19 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on underground engineering projects. His background includes structural design for underground works, including excavation support design, deep and shallow foundation design, tunnel rehabilitation, seismic engineering, and cut-and-cover facilities. Finn earned an M.Eng. degree from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Doug Grimes, P.Geo, PMP, is the firm’s Vancouver office manager and has over 30 years of experience in design and con- struction of tunnel, hydropower, water supply and reclamation projects. In the past 10 years, Grimes has served as project manager on some of Vancouver’s most significant water and gas pipeline projects. He received an M.Sc. degree in geological sciences from Queen’s University and a B.Sc. degree in earth science from the University of Manitoba, Canada. He is a registered professional geoscientist in British Columbia and a certified professional project manager. Yuxin (Wolfe) Lang, P.E., G.E., P.Eng., is the firm’s geotechnical engineering practice lead for pipelines and infrastructure. He has more than 25 years of geotechnical engi- neering experience, focusing on water, wastewater and conveyance projects. Lang earned an M.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, and a B.S. in geological engineering from the Hebei Institute of Civil Engineering, China. She is a registered professional civil engineer in California, Hawaii and Oregon and is a certified DBIA Professional. Andrew Mencke, P.E., is the firm’s civil and architectural design practice lead and has 17 years of experience providing detailed design and project coordination on major transit, water and wastewater system expansions and upgrades. During his time at McMillen Jacobs, Mencke has been heavily involved in the Sound Transit East Link, Northgate Link and University Link projects from their early design phases through construction. Yiming Sun, Ph.D., P.E., has over 25 years of experience in civil, geotechnical and mining engineering. He has in-depth knowledge and experience in the design of temporary and permanent support for tunnels, large caverns and deep shafts. He Nicholson in Wyoming also has extensive experience in numerical modeling for seismic, geotechnical, structural, groundwater, slope stability and thermal analyses. He earned a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota, and an M.S. degree in structural engineering and a B.S. degree in geotech- nical engineering from Tongji University in China. He is a registered professional engi- neer in California, Nevada and Minnesota. ALLU Group announced the appointment of Edison Rocha as its new vice president of distribution and marketing for the U.S. and Canada. Rocha is responsible for increasing development of distribution channels, as well as marketing through- out North America. He brings almost 25 years of experience in construction equipment sales, dealer development and marketing to this position, including 11 years with Sandvik Mining & Construction, where he held positions in aftermarket and sales management in South America and USA – most recently as a division sales manager for the U.S. Prior to that, Rocha worked in sales and sales management for Linck Machines and Servcorp International. He has bachelor’s degrees from Ponta Grossa State University and University of Social Studies in Administration and Marketing, respectively, as well as M.B.A. degrees from Kennedy Western University and Tulane University. J. Fletcher Creamer, Jr. has been selected for an Outstanding Achievement Award (nonmember) by The Moles. The award was presented at The Moles’ Annual Award Dinner in New York City in January. Creamer is the fourth generation family member to preside over the management of J. Fletcher Creamer & Son. Initially a small family business, the company grew over the years and eventually added a heavy construction division that has completed over $1.0 billion of road and bridge contracts.
