career with The Reinforced Earth Company in Paris. He then moved into geotechnical consulting, working on projects throughout Europe. His focus was primarily on rail projects, such as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the Dublin Port Tunnel. In 2010, Verity moved to the U.S. and joined Gerdau, where he promoted the use of steel sheet piling. Verity was chair of the DFI Driven Pile Committee from 2013 to 2016. Trust Board Meeting The Trust Board held its Fall Meeting on November 3, 2016, in Queens, N.Y. The financial report revealed that the Trust’s total assets increased by 18% in 2016 from 2015, thanks to generous contributions and strong performance of the Trust’s investments during 2016. Among the many items on the agenda, the board authorized the first disbursement from the new George J. Tamaro Manhattan College Scholarship Fund, discussed various strategies for increasing fundraising in 2017, and elected officers for 2017.
