Eric Drooff was named the sixth president of Hayward Baker. Drooff, hired by HB in 1992 as a project manager, was the vice president and senior vice president of HB’s northeast region for the past 12 years. John Rubright , outgoing president, took the role of managing director of Keller North America, HB’s parent company. Geo-Foundations Con- tractors Inc. and the Keller Canada Toronto office have joined together as Geo-Foundations, a Hayward Baker company, under the leadership of Todd Edmunds. Geo-Foundations will work with Keller Canada to establish HB products and services throughout Canada. Scott Nichols was ap- pointed vice president of HB’s Northeast region. Hi s respons ibi l i t ies include strategic manage- ment of the New England, New York and Mid-Atlantic areas. Nichols joined HB in 2005 as part of the G. Donaldson acquisition and has been man- ager of the Providence office since 2009. Kevin Dawson was appointed area manager of the Providence office. Dawson joined HB in 2004 as a field engineer in the New England area. Atlas Copco Construction Equipment named Marty Molthen district sales manager of the company’s Southwest rental channel. Molthen works closely with national and independent rental yard owners, managers and strategic account customers to provide pricing, product demonstrations, product information and any other assistance. Atlas Copco also announced that Wilder Motor & Equipment now carries Atlas Copco’s line of WEDA electric submersible pumps at the rental center’s downtown Nashville, Tenn., location. Wilder Motor offers the full line of WEDA electric submersible pumps, such as the 10N, 30N, 40N and 70L. Wilder Motor is a family- owned company with a 75-year legacy of serving several southern states with factory- trained technicians and a wide range of ser- vices, including custom pump application engineering, pump rental solutions and tree recycling. Nicholson Construction’s Denver office is supporting the University of Colorado Boulder’s ongoing athletic complex expan- sion project. Nicholson began work in May of 2014 on a temporary and permanent earth retention system with soil nail and shotcrete walls, with approximately 250 linear ft (76 m) being constructed as a cantilevered drilled shaft and shotcrete wall. An additional 260 ft (79 m) were construc- ted as a cantilevered soldier beam and wood lagging wall. Nicholson will com- plete the project in February 2015 on the current construction schedule. The overall project is set for completion in fall 2015. Derrick Equipment Company announced its partnership with Clean Slurry Technol- ogy. CST maintains a fleet of Derrick equip- ment for sale and rental out of its Bakersfield, Calif. location. The inventory of Derrick solutions includes Flo-Line Primers, High “G” Linear Motion Shakers, High Speed Decanting Centrifuges, various size separation plants along with a parts and screen panel inventory. Pile Dynamics announced the release of a new San Francisco-based engineering and consulting firm, Jacobs Associates, and Boise-based engineering and construction firm, McMillen LLC, announced that the two firms intend to merge. McMillen Jacobs Associates will have a staff of 380, working out of 19 offices across North America, Australia and New Zealand. Jacobs Associates has focused primarily on detailed design and construction engineering in the heavy civil underground market since it started doing business in 1954.
