Although it is still months away on October 12- 15, 2015, the 40th Annual Conference is a highly anticipated event. By bringing together professionals for networking, education, communication and collaboration, the event is a catalyst for building consensus and shaping a common vision for the continual advancement of the industry. Over 1,000 attendees are expected, and there are more than 150 exhibit spaces available. Registration for attendees, exhibitors and underwriters opened on Monday, January 12, at www.deepfoundations2015.org. The conference will be held in Oakland, Calif., at the Oakland Marriott City Center. The hotel offers views of the San Francisco Bay Area, Lake Merritt, Berkeley Marina and the Golden Gate Bridge. It is centrally located downtown near Chinatown, museums, fine dining and shopping at Jack London Square. Downtown San Francisco is only 12 minutes away via the BART subway system, which stops outside the hotel. Tuesday through Thursday, October 13-15, will include technical sessions, networking lunches, exhibitor displays and the awards banquet. New at the 40th Annual Conference will be the DFI Educational Trust’s “Legends Program,” honoring practitioners who have made significant contributions and advancements to the research, design, construction and use of deep foundations.
