DFI People and Companies Delaney Erickson was named business development sales manager for Atlas Copco oil and gas markets in the mid-south region. Erickson’s background includes work for both a large Atlas Copco distributor and a drill rig competitor. He brings 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to his new position. Versie Wallace is a new training manager for Atlas Copco. Wallace served as consultant to various companies in the Denver metro area, including AIMPRO. His experience includes managing training programs for various companies and nearly 20 years as a football coach and professor for Colorado School of Mines and Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Wallace now manages three critical training areas: dealer and store technician certification, operator/Master Driller Program training and Atlas Copco’s professional development academies. These academies include separate programs for service managers, parts managers, product sales and service representatives and customer service representatives. Jason Blais was appointed Southeast Region store manager for Atlas Copco, and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Miami, Atlanta and Nashville stores. Prior to joining Atlas Copco 15 years ago, Blais worked as a driller. Since that time he has served the company as a service technician, demo specialist, trainer, direct sales represen- tative, district manager and store manager. Blais’ most recent position was as down- the-hole product manager for Atlas Copco Secoroc rock drilling tools. The three stores Blais is responsible for carry a wide range of Atlas Copco products, including construc- tion, drilling, crushing and screening, geotechnical drilling and exploration and compressor equipment, as well as Dynapac road construction equipment. Vince Fontimayor was appointed as product manager, mining and rock excavation technology, for Atlas Copco CMT USA in Commerce City, Colo. Fontimayor has a B.S. in electrical engineering technology from Old Dominion University and comes to Atlas Copco from the U.S. Navy. During more than 7 years in the military, which he concluded as a Lieutenant, Surface Warfare Officer, he served as communications officer on the missile frigate USS Rentz, operations officer on the USS Blue Ridge and training officer on the USS Vandergrift. Fontimayor is responsible for supporting sales and marketing of all technology products for the Mining and Rock Excav- ation Technique business lines in the U.S. Joey Parker has been a p p o i n t e d s e r v i c e operations manager for Atlas Copco Construction Equipment in Commerce City, Colo. Since 2003 Parker has served as service manager for the Covington, Ga., service center. He began his Atlas Copco career in 1990 as a field service representative for the rental division. In 1993 he was promoted to rental operations manager and later to fleet upgrade manager. Parker is responsible for managing and growing the service and parts business for diesel -driven compressors, boosters and generators, hydraul ic at tachments, Dynapac compaction equipment, light compaction equipment and hand held equipment. Gannett Fleming’s Paul Lewis, P.E., vice presi- dent and corporate geo- technical practice leader based in Harrisburg, Pa., was selected to the West Virginia University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s (CEE) West Virginia Academy of Civil Engineers. Lewis received this honor through a call for nominations and extensive review by members of the academy. The induction ceremony was held at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown last spring along with the department awards banquet, where seven new members were honored. With more than 28 years of experience, Lewis is responsible for management and technical review of geotechnical activities. He holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the West Virginia University and is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Arkansas. He is on the board of directors for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Central Pa. Section and a 2012 delegate for the ASCE Leadership Conference. Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH was awarded the State Prize Clean Technology Austria 2012. The company has developed the first hydraulic hybrid drive for cranes and construction machinery. Since 2008 the State Prize has been awarded jointly by three ministries every two years. More than 200 projects – more than twice the amount of 2010 – were entered in 2012.
