Update on the ISM – ADSC – DFI Alliance ISM’s New Website: www.ismicropiles.org The International Society for Micropiles (ISM) in alliance with DFI and ADSC: The International Association for Foundation Drilling, announces the launch of ISM’s updated website. The site provides deep foundations practitioners with up-to-date global information on micropile people, projects and events. ISM is grateful to Allen Cadden (ISM chairman), Cory Yacyshyn (ISM delegate), and ISM’s creative website designers for the hard work that went into creating this new site. We welcome your delegate and industry news, which will keep the site vibrant with new information and encourage delegates to visit often. Please submit your news through the portals at the bottom of the home page. Agenda and papers from past ISM workshops can be reviewed and down- loaded from the “Proceedings” page under the “Publications” tab. These papers pro- vide a wealth of micropile information from around the world. The website also includes a micropile reference list under the “Document Library” tab. We are grateful to Dr. Thomas Herbst for compiling many of the entries on the listing. Please submit new micropile references to be included on the listing to [email protected]. Due to copyright issues, we are unable to provide electronic copies of documents not pro- duced through ISM events. However, if you have trouble finding a publication, contact ISM’s technical leads, Mary Ellen Bruce at [email protected] or Dr. Antonio (Tony) Marinucci at [email protected]. 11th ISM Workshop: The International Workshop on Micropiles (IWM) is scheduled for Oct. 3-6, 2012 in Milan, Italy. Mr. Federico Pagliacci, development vice president of Soilmec S.p.A. is serving as chair of the local organizing committee. The workshop will coincide with the 19th Annual GeoFluid Drilling and Foundations equipment exhibition in Piacenza, Italy. More information on this small diameter drilling equipment trade show is at www.geofluid.it. Delegate Membership: We thank cur- rent ISM delegates for their continued sup- port as we transition into our alliance with ADSC and DFI, and work to provide more services to delegates of the ISM. We encour- age existing DFI and ADSC members involved in the design, construction, research/develop- ment and instruction/promotion of micropile technology to become ISM delegates at no additional cost. Current delegates and new interested parties should contact Mary Ellen or Tony for membership information. DFI and ADSC look forward to increasing the activities of ISM with the support and participation of ISM delegates who are interested in the ISM mission of providing an international forum for debate, advice, problem-solving and support to micropile specialists and non-specialists throughout the world.
