Phoenix Paper Abstracts Due DFI’s 38th Annual Conference is almost a year off, from September 25-28, 2013, but abstracts for the technical program are due November 23, 2012. The program will focus on deep foundation subject areas such as: • Lessons Learned and Solutions for Challenging Projects • Telecommunications and Energy • Seismic Design Considerations in Deep Foundations • LRFD and the Impacts on Design Procedures • Design and Construction Practices for Foundations and Retaining Structures. • Design Optimization and Value Engineering • The broad category of design, construction, performance and behavior in special soil/rock conditions including expansive soils, collapsible soils, sand-gravel-cobble soils and cemented calcareous soils For more information, members can contact [email protected], or to submit a 300- word abstract, potential authors can go to www.DFI2013submissions.org.
